Dr. Stephen Hsu (pronounced “shoe”)
is a molecular/cell biologist at the
Medical College of Georgia and one of
the world's foremost researchers into
the health benefits of green tea.

Through his exhaustive research, Dr. Hsu's work has revolutionized the understanding of green tea's healing and preventative properties, such as those found in its natural EGCG antioxidants. He has made it his life’s mission to develop new ways in which green tea’s benefits can be incorporated into practical products and applications that will help nurture and protect the health and well being of people everywhere.

Dr. Hsu is the author of more than 40 articles in scholarly journals and is a reviewer for a number of scientific journals, including Journal of Clinical Investigation, Carcinogenesis, Oncogene, FEBS Journal, European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Journal of Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Oral Oncology. He is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research, a member of the American Society for Investigative Dermatology, former President of GA chanter of AADR and the American Association for Dental Research and President of its Georgia Chapter.

As an Associate Professor within the Department of Oral Biology and Maxillofacial Pathology, Dr. Hsu teaches in both the School of Dentistry and the School of Graduate Studies at the Institute of Molecular Medicine and Genetics at the Medical College of Georgia. He and his wife Tracy live in Augusta, GA. with their two sons, Alexander and Andrew.
